District finance director reports state aid hit; enrollment down about 100 students

Hauser said on Wednesday the district would receive aid certification and remaining variables needed to finalize the district’s revenue limit levy, with the largest remaining unknown being a private school voucher amount. She reported the district’s pupil count declined by about 100 students this year — a change the district anticipated based on a University of Wisconsin–Madison population study — and that open‑enrollment in and out numbers remained nearly identical to last year. Hauser said the decline reflects fewer school‑age residents locally rather than students transferring to other districts.
The report contained no motions; board members asked clarifying questions and had no action requests for staff.
