Board approves up to $38,000 for property due diligence with Heritage Civil

The Robertson County School Board on Oct. 6 approved an Executive Committee action to contract Hewlett Spencer, engaging Heritage Civil services, for civil work and property due diligence not to exceed $38,000.
During the executive committee report, a board member said Jamie Spencer of Hewlett Spencer indicated Heritage Civil could ‘‘take care of the civil work that was needed on that property’’ for an amount ‘‘not to exceed $38,000.’’ The board’s executive members had discussed the estimate and ‘‘agreed that that was a reasonable amount to spend in terms of exploring that property,’’ the report said.
Jeff White moved to approve the Executive Committee recommendation; Scott Rice seconded. The board voted ‘‘Aye’’ and the chair announced the motion passed. No roll-call tally was given in the meeting transcript.
The contract approval allows staff to move forward with civil work to explore the property and was presented as an Executive Committee action. The board record shows the contract approval is limited to due diligence and civil work up to the stated not-to-exceed amount.
