Council committee calls for $9,927.87 appropriation to repair park fencing

Don Patterson, director of Parks and Recreation, requested the funding in a letter that was referred to the finance committee. During the Oct. 20 meeting, the committee voted to call for the legislation with emergency wording and one reading. The motion was moved and seconded during the committee discussion; those present responded “Aye” when the chair called the vote.
The appropriation was described as a targeted, small capital expenditure to repair fencing at two park locations. Committee members said they had discussed the request the prior week and had no further remarks during the Oct. 20 session. The motion to call for legislation advances the request to the full council for final consideration and formal adoption.
