Establishment of public hearings: The board set a public hearing for an off‑sale intoxicating liquor license application from M and T Wheaton Incorporated doing business as the Wooden Table Inn for Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 at about 10:05 a.m. at the St. Louis County Courthouse in Duluth. The board also established a public hearing for the annual amendment to the county’s capital improvement plan (board letter 25‑4‑96R) for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Fayette Town Hall, 4375 Shady Lane, Eveleth.
Consent‑agenda pull: Commissioners voted to remove agenda item number 3 from the consent agenda and send it back to administration for revision; the item relates to Health Connections and the board indicated an additional county needed to be added before it returns to the board. The motion to pull the item was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Surveying services: The board approved a surveying services agreement (board letter 25‑4‑98) selecting multiple firms in response to an RFP supporting the county’s public land survey system re‑monumentation project. Administrator Gray noted the vendors responding were Minnesota‑based and thanked staff for ongoing work to update survey monuments and corners across the county.
