Medical Lake planning commissioner Carl resigns; commission approves agenda, minutes and excuses absence

Elisa, planning staff, told the Planning Commission that commissioner Carl has resigned for family and medical reasons and that the mayor will announce the vacancy at an upcoming City Council meeting and accept applications. "The mayor will announce that vacancy in an existing council meeting, which is next Tuesday, and applications will be accepted," Elisa said.

Elisa said Carl had served about three years on the commission and that staff will seek a new commission representative to serve on the periodic update steering committee. The steering committee includes representatives from the council, school district, DSHS and parks board and meets every other month for about an hour on a Thursday morning, Elisa said.
