Houston County commissioners approve grants, land-use permits, contracts and labor deal; set TNT mailing and meeting dates

The Houston County Board of Commissioners at its Oct. 14 meeting approved a series of motions covering grant applications, land-use permits, county construction and contract closeout items and a labor agreement.

The board voted to allow county staff to apply for a Minnesota Department of Health Community Connect grant to help support a mobile children’s dental unit, approved a $1,000 fee to review Type 5 (experimental) septic systems, granted conditional-use permits (CUPs) for two telecommunications towers and one nonfarm dwelling moved onto a parcel in the egg‑production district, accepted final work on a county seal‑coat contract and adopted a bridge‑replacement priority list (Resolution 25‑35).
