Sandrock Development requested the extension for the 44‑unit townhouse project west of 50 West and south of 400 North. Staff said the applicant is still resolving water‑related issues and asked the commission to preserve the existing site‑plan approval while those matters are addressed; city ordinance allows the commission to extend site approvals beyond the standard one‑year period.
Commissioners approved the six‑month extension without additional conditions. Staff advised the applicant to continue coordination with water and site‑engineering staff so the project can proceed toward construction within the new approval window.
The extension preserves the applicant's previously approved site‑plan drawings and design review findings; if the developer does not resume activity and meet permit timelines within six months, the commission could revisit the approval at a later meeting.
