Personnel and benefits - The board approved employee health benefit buyback elections for employees Christopher Benson, Ariana Halpern and Julio Vigarrio pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement. Motion by Deputy Mayor Sartore; second by Trustee Clark; vote: aye, motion carried.
Justice court and other finance-related routine approvals - Trustees accepted and adopted the Justice Court’s annual report for the fiscal year ended 05/31/2025 as prepared by the village’s independent auditors. Motion by Trustee Casado; second by Trustee Solowski; vote: aye, motion carried.
Volunteer fire service awards - The board authorized one-time actuarial-equivalent lump-sum service award payments from the fire service award fund, effective Jan. 1, 2026, to volunteer members James Sherry and William Simonton under the village’s length-of-service award program. Motions were made and seconded as recorded; votes carried.
Procurement: Memorial Park drainage - The board awarded the public bid for the 2025 Memorial Park Drainage Contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Filente Contracting Corp., at a cost of $135,000. Funding was identified as the 2025–26 general fund and/or the unreserved general fund balance. Motion by Deputy Mayor Sartore; second by Trustee Soloski; vote: aye, motion carried. The board discussed timing and asked that work be scheduled after the village’s winter holiday event so the park will be ready for spring activities.
Approval of bills and payroll and other routine motions were also carried by the board during the meeting.
