Board approves personnel roster, two early-childhood job descriptions and petitions for student early reentry

The Valley View CUSD 365U Board of Education on Oct. 20 approved a consolidated personnel report covering certified, classified and administrative staffing changes, adopted two new early-childhood job descriptions funded by a community outreach inclusion early childhood grant, and approved petitions for early reentry in student discipline due-process cases.

Sarah Donata presented the consolidated action report for certified, classified and administrative personnel (item 10.1) and asked the board to approve the items as amended. The board approved the consolidated report by roll call; recorded yes votes included Member Pipkin, Member Baduris, Member Heil, Member Emma Shrove, Secretary Sutherland and President Pro Tem Tim Campbell.

Board members then considered two job descriptions (item 10.2): an early childhood community-based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and an early childhood community-based special education paraprofessional. District staff said both positions were presented for information at the prior board meeting and that both roles are funded by a community outreach inclusion early childhood grant that extends two years beyond the 2025–26 school year. The board approved both job descriptions by roll call.

The board also approved petitions for early reentry in student-discipline due-process cases (action reported by Dr. Woods). The motion to approve the early reentry petitions passed by roll call with the same recorded yes votes.

Minutes show motions were made and seconded for each item; the transcript recorded roll call votes but did not name individual motion makers for these items. The approvals allow the district to fill the grant-funded positions, continue the personnel changes listed in the consolidated report, and grant early reentry in the specified discipline cases as presented.
