Superintendent Linford presented the item, saying the cooking equipment at Building G4 Nutrition Services “was worn out and become obsolete.” He told the board major equipment — including large kettles and a tumble chiller — will be replaced. “The large kettles and tumble chiller will be replaced with new kettles and a lazy river chiller,” Linford said. The upgrade will also require a new exhaust hood, an ice builder and other refrigeration equipment.
A motion to approve the bid to Cure Construction in the amount of $4,730,467.33 was moved by Ms. Barber and seconded by Ms. Price. Board members responded “Aye,” and the chair declared the motion passed.
