Board approves one-time employee stipends paid from general fund reserves

Exclusions cited were board members, community coaches, employees on leave without pay, certain part-time employees not regularly working, outsourced workers and Columbus Public Library and non-district Columbus Museum employees.
Dr. Chambers made the motion to approve and Mr. Cantrell seconded. Board members voted in favor; staff indicated the payroll and communications rollout would follow promptly.
Board members asked about timing for communication to employees and staff said the rollout would begin soon. The motion record on the transcript does not include a formal roll-call tally; the board chair announced the motion passed.
