Planning staff report two pre-application projects: Rite Aid site and Diaz Meadows subdivision

Bond said the owners of the Rite Aid property at the corner of Bethel and Lund Avenue intend to request a pre-application meeting about razing the existing building and replacing it with three freestanding buildings. Staff has not yet met with the applicants, and Bond said the project is in early stages.
Bond also said the city received a subdivision pre-application for a project called Diaz Meadows. The preliminary plan shows proposed access from Old Clifton Road via a culvert or bridge and indicates apartment development along the site frontage with a residential subdivision in the rear. Bond said staff has not yet met with the applicant team to confirm details and that the access issue from adjacent properties will be a focus of future review.
