Board adopts consent agenda: grants, federal reimbursement and routine contracts passed; juvenile housing agreement pulled for discussion

The Atlantic County Board of Commissioners combined and adopted a broad consent agenda of routine grant acceptances, professional services, bid awards and change orders during the meeting. Items included:
- Resolution 533: Acceptance of a grant from the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety for the sexual assault response team/forensic nurse examiner program, funded at $195,202 with a county in‑kind match of $48,801.
- Resolution 534: Amendment to extend the term date for an Office of the New Jersey Attorney General grant (adopted previously as Resolution 161 on 04/04/2023) with no additional cost.
- Resolution 535: Federal aid cost reimbursement agreement with NJDOT for FY25 federal aid funding, including construction work on county routes (amounts specified in resolution reading).
The board also combined sections of professional service contracts (Res. 536–537), bid awards (Res. 538–542), change orders (Res. 543–546) and other miscellaneous consent items (Res. 547, 549–562). Commissioners responded to no public comments on those consent blocks and authorized staff to proceed as recorded in the resolutions.
One item, Resolution 5‑48 (shared services agreement with Mercer County for emergency housing of juveniles), was pulled from the consent agenda for discussion, amended in committee and then adopted following the board’s debate (see separate article). The board’s roll calls on consolidated blocks recorded unanimous approvals for the combined items called during the meeting.
Commissioners also adopted additional budget and appointment resolutions, approved roadway solicitation permits and passed a series of other routine administrative actions as read into the record.
