• Senior nutrition program: The council adopted a resolution authorizing continued participation in the senior nutrition program for fiscal year 2026, accepting a grant through the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (area agency on aging) in the amount of $141,903. Meals will be provided at Carver Community Center and the Gadsden Wellness Center.
• Employee assistance program provider: The council adopted a resolution authorizing an agreement allowing Revolution Therapy Services to participate in the city’s employee assistance program at a rate of $80 per hour.
• Construction engineering and inspection agreement: The council adopted a resolution authorizing an agreement with Wagoner Engineering Inc. for construction engineering and inspection services for the Lakewood Drive Street Improvements Project in the amount of $240,000.
• Assistance to Firefighters grant: The council adopted a resolution accepting an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for $4,943, as requested by the fire department.
