Key actions included unanimous approval of rezoning file 2025‑R7 for property at 3241 Huntsville Highway, calling a Nov. 18 public hearing for file 2025‑R8 (two parcels on Winchester Highway), reappointments to county committees, several budget amendments and a special call recommendation to move $80,000 into the fire prevention line to repair emergency vehicles.

The commission unanimously approved file 2025‑R7, a request to rezone a 1.05‑acre parcel at 3241 Huntsville Highway from A‑1 Agricultural to C‑1 General Commercial. Lincoln County planner Tracy Perkins said the parcel fronts Huntsville Highway, a principal thoroughfare, and met the county’s commercial frontage criteria; the packet noted the parcel is ISO 10 and about 5.26 miles from the nearest fire station. Commissioner Sprague moved approval and Commissioner Sanders seconded; the measure passed by voice vote.
