The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 7 recognized two county employees for long service and acknowledged staff who prepared the county's comprehensive annual financial report (ACFR), which received the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Supervisors recognized Steve Hallbach of the county attorney's office for 35 years of service and Heidi Frank with the sheriff's office for 20 years. "Thank you very much," a recipient said when accepting recognition.
County staff also highlighted Michelle Wiener, Jen Todd and Billy Hett for leadership in preparing Black Hawk County's ACFR for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, which earned the GFOA certificate โ the association's highest form of recognition for government accounting and financial reporting.
Supervisors and staff presented certificates and thanked employees for their work in financial reporting and long-term service.
