The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 7 approved routine business including minutes, a consent agenda, authorization of bill payments totaling $334,361.42 and a resolution abating $13,836 in property taxes for Liberation Church, Inc.
Board members voted unanimously to authorize the county auditor to issue payments against approved claims. County staff said the total bill payment for the meeting was $334,361.42, and cited larger individual disbursements including $56,949.67 to BMC Aggregates and $40,027.16 for ADA boat docks at Casey Lake.
The board also approved minutes for the Sept. 30, 2025 meeting and adopted the consent agenda by roll call. The board passed a resolution to abate the September 2026 installment of property taxes for parcel 8914-24-427-003 at 815 Orchard Drive, Cedar Falls, in the amount of $13,836 for Liberation Church, Inc.; a representative of the nonprofit spoke at the meeting to thank supervisors and described recent community meals and plans for a Nov. 19 Thanksgiving event.
All recorded votes at the Oct. 7 meeting were unanimous according to roll calls taken during the session.
