The board reviewed and advanced a transportation memorandum of understanding between the Allentown School District and East Stroudsburg University to move district students to a Saturday Upward Bound program.

Administrators said East Stroudsburg's TRIO-funded Upward Bound program requested district transportation for about 50 students because their transportation option exceeded grant reimbursement. The district estimated the cost of two buses at $13,500 and said it had negotiated the MOU to provide the service so students could participate in the program.

The committee moved the MOU to the regular board meeting for final approval.
