Public Works staff reported the Amrita Creek Trail solar lighting project is substantially complete, adding lighting between Marina Road behind Old Town and First Street behind the Epperson (Everson) memorial lot.

A city representative said the construction contract was just over $130,000 and that the city supplied roughly $130,000 worth of materials; the total project cost reported was about $345,000. Staff said approximately 27 fixtures were installed and that only cleanup and contract closeout tasks remain.

Committee members said they had walked the project at night and described the lighting as improving safety and the pedestrian experience along the creek trail.
