Foster schedules police-station groundbreaking as foundation nears completion

The council noted staff will arrange parking and logistics for the ceremony and that the event is primarily for those directly involved in the project rather than for everyone in town to participate in the shovels-on-ground portion.
The council also discussed whether a police-building committee meeting had been held; a follow-up was promised to confirm the committee’s schedule and posting.
The council did not vote on the police-station item at the Oct. 23 meeting; members described the update and agreed on the Nov. 15 date for the ceremony.
