Adam told the Kingsburg Community Service Commission that crews have removed and replaced part of the west-side fence at the Kingsburg dog park near property shared with a contractor identified in the meeting as Wabo Construction. He said the removed construction equipment has been cleared from the neighboring property and the recently replaced fencing is a portion of a larger update commissioners had discussed previously.
Adam said Caltrans performed cleanup along the freeway-side fence line. The remaining work will be installation of a green lattice screen across the freeway side, of the same style used at Erling Park to cover solar panels; staff said the lattice is intended to improve aesthetics and reduce dogs’ attention toward the freeway.
Staff reminded the public that the dog park remains open despite some water collecting in the basin; the park is “use at your own risk” during the rainy season. Adam also noted that Tuesday mornings are the park’s scheduled maintenance window and that the park is closed on Tuesday mornings until about noon for maintenance.
No formal action was taken; the item was presented for information and to update commissioners on next steps and scheduling for the remaining lattice installation.
