Commission lowers speed limit on Bluegrass Circle from 25 mph to 15 mph after road committee recommendation

The Bradley County Commission approved a motion to lower the speed limit on Bluegrass Circle from 25 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour after the county road committee recommended the change.

Mr. Lisonbee, reporting for the road committee, said the committee met and voted to recommend approval of the reduction and presented that recommendation to the full commission. “The road committee met last week and voted to recommend approval of a request to lower the speed limit on Bluegrass Circle from 25 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour,” he said.

Commissioner Ledford seconded the motion. The commission called the roll and the motion passed 14-0.

The commission record shows the committee also reported other road-related items — including a recommended easement for sewer-line work and scheduling the next road committee meeting — but the Bluegrass Circle speed-limit change was the action approved on the floor during this meeting.

Speakers on the item included Mr. Lisonbee (road committee), Commissioner Ledford (second) and multiple commissioners who participated in the roll call.
