Planning staff told the committee the city does not prepare the district plan; the school district is the lead agency and submits its own Capital Facilities Plan, which the city then adopts by resolution. Staff said the district is recommending an increase to the single-family home impact fee while leaving the multifamily fee unchanged. The committee was told the implementing ordinance that would set the district’s school impact fees will be presented for two readings in November.
Committee members said the item could proceed on consent at the next council meeting to keep a packed schedule moving.
