Roswell High student and parent ask board to end athlete‑only parking restrictions

Avery Ingram introduced herself as a senior honor student, athlete and FFA officer and said she registered and paid for parking but is restricted to the east‑side lot while athlete‑only lots on the west side and at the field house are reserved for students with athletic stickers. She said golf was not on the list of activities that receive athletic stickers and said she believes all students should have “equal access to parking.”
Dolores Ingram said Avery’s parking sticker number 3 indicated she paid early and that students are sometimes asked to move because they lack an athletic sticker. She asked the board to request that Roswell High School revise procedures “immediately” so students who paid for parking are not forced to relocate and so students can reach after‑school jobs and siblings on time.
Board response and next steps Board members acknowledged the comment and did not take immediate action during the meeting. The parent said she would follow up with her board member next week. No formal motion or policy change was recorded at the meeting.
