San Angelo city manager announces retirement effective Oct. 31, 2026

Council response: Mayor Tom Thompson thanked Valenzuela and expressed appreciation for his years of service and committed to working with him through the transition period. The council and staff said they look forward to a structured transition and urged the manager to help prepare the organization for his departure.
