Allegheny County Council approves multiple ordinances, advances several items to committee

Allegheny County Council on Oct. 21, 2025, approved multiple ordinances and resolutions in a series of roll-call votes and sent other measures back to committee.

Council approved a resolution permitting the Allegheny County Hospital Development Authority to issue up to $95 million in tax-exempt or taxable bonds for the benefit of Heritage Valley Health System Inc.; ratified revisions to the Allegheny County Health Department’s medical service fees; and adopted amendments to the county’s air pollution control rules. Council also approved acceptance of donated training equipment from Westlake Corporation and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and authorized the use of county property by Invisio Group for a firefighting-imaging demonstration and filming. Several administrative and permitting authorizations for public-works projects were also approved. Several other items were referred back to committees for further review.
