The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners on Oct. 23 appointed Keisha Lowery to the county Veterans Services Commission.
Commissioners moved and seconded the appointment during the meeting and voted to approve it. Lowery, a U.S. Army veteran, addressed the board at her swearing‑in and said she came back to Cincinnati to continue public service: “I wanted to come back here to serve, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve veterans,” she said.
The board noted Lowery’s nomination came as part of the commissioners’ process for filling the commission’s membership and indicated she will be eligible to attend the commission’s next scheduled meeting.
Ending: The chair welcomed Lowery and noted the first VSC meeting she would attend was scheduled for Nov. 7.
