Hialeah City events director Jorge Hernández said a wine-and-food festival to mark the city’s centennial is scheduled for tomorrow at Hialeah Park, the historic racetrack in Hialeah.
“Así es, muchas sorpresas, mucha música, mucha colaboración entre todos y para celebrar una historia y un legado de la ciudad de los ciudadanos,” Hernández said, describing the event as a community celebration with music and local collaboration.
During a Hialeah TV segment, Mike Peña of the restaurant La Bodeguita said the restaurant will serve several specialty dishes and participate in on-site cocktail demonstrations. “Vamos a estar aquí con una paella de mariscos, paella de rabo, las peores croquetas ... vamos a tener una experiencia de cantineros con coctelería, muchos instrumentos,” Peña said. He also said the program will include DJs and live musical surprises and mentioned an orchestra performance the organizers referred to as honoring “Gypsy Keys.” Peña said the production will be led by Emilio Estefan.
Gina Romero identified herself on air as a reporter for Hialeah TV. The broadcast segment did not specify the exact start time, ticketing details, or whether the event is free to the public.
Organizers described the festival as part of the city’s centennial celebrations and emphasized food, wine and live music. No formal city approvals, funding sources or vendor lists were provided during the segment.
Organizers and participating vendors should be expected to release official schedules and ticket information; those details were not specified on the broadcast.
