At the Sept. 3 meeting the county’s finance staff presented the cash-and-investment report. The presenter, identified in the minutes as Chavez, reported the following fund balances and investment amounts:
- General Fund: overall balance $18,610,206; investment amount $16,383,726. - Road Fund: overall balance $5,736,359; investment amount $5,067,545. - Flood Control District Fund: overall balance $2,498,932; investment amount $305,407. - Dale District Fund: overall balance $5,718,768; investment amount $4,352,823.
The presenter summarized totals "for all funds" and an estimated end-of-month balance. The oral transcript duplicated the word "million" in the totals; county staff provided the raw dollar figures above. The board did not ask for additional adjustments at the time; staff offered to answer follow-up questions from members of the board or the public.
Board members did not take any formal action on the report; the item was presented for information and acceptance.
A clerk or finance staff check may follow to reconcile the presented line-item balances with the total-all-funds number referenced orally, which the presenter indicated in his remarks.
