Senators proposed and approved changing the bill’s deadline from Oct. 1, 2025, to Nov. 1, 2025, by unanimous voice vote.
Committee members supported the study approach and the substitute passed out of committee as a report and referral to Senate Finance by a recorded vote of 14 ayes, 0 noes. The bill’s substitute is designed to produce funding recommendations for consideration in the next session.
