Two committee members to retire in November; new chair and vice will be selected

Chair Alex and member Rick Yardy told the committee they will retire Nov. 15; members noted Don Sudbury has applied to join and the city council will consider appointments at its next meeting.
At the start of the Oct. 14 meeting, committee members announced upcoming retirements and discussed succession.
"Rick and I retire on Nov. 15," Alex said, noting the committee will select a new chair and vice chair at its next meeting. He said Don Sudbury has submitted an application to fill one of the openings.
Committee members thanked departing members for their service. City council appointment of new members was discussed; staff said the council will consider appointments at its next meeting. No formal votes on appointments were taken by the advisory committee.
