Canby announces Fourth of July parade, vendors and fireworks; volunteers fund fireworks display

The council noted the fireworks will be conducted by the Canby Fire Volunteer Association at dusk, with an estimated start near 9:45 p.m. Donations to the volunteer fire department help fund the fireworks display; the council asked residents who want to support the show to donate and to note that their donation is for fireworks.
Council members and staff urged early arrival for seating in Wait Park and requested that parade participants exercise caution when throwing candy so children do not run into traffic. Councilor Davis also announced Judy Oz as the parade grand marshal.
