The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee on Oct. 25 approved language to correct an omission in the Department of Health and Welfare packet, adding standard federal funding restriction provisions for indirect support services and licensing and certification.
Alex Williamson, budget and policy analyst with the Legislative Services Office, told the committee the language is the standard federal-funding restrictions text that should have been included previously and that there is no substantive change to the agency’s bill. Representative Price requested unanimous consent to accept the language; the committee granted that request and the language will be incorporated into the bill for the Department of Health and Welfare.
Committee members treated the item as a technical correction and adopted the language by unanimous consent. The committee will include the language in its report and forward the matter with a due-pass recommendation.
