Representative Manwaring moved the supplemental and Senator Woodward seconded; combined roll call showed 19 ayes, 0 nays and 1 absent/excused and the motion passed.
A second motion approved a FY 2026 one‑time appropriation of $800,000 from the Fish and Game expendable trust tied to a settlement agreement to restore property damaged in the Valley Fire, including hazardous treatment removal, seed planting and aerial application if necessary. Representative Woodward moved the $800,000 appropriation, seconded by Representative Manwaring; the combined vote was unanimous among those present (9‑0 Senate; House unanimous), and the clerk reported the motion passed and will carry a due‑pass recommendation.
Committee members said earlier procedural timing prevented consideration of the second request at the previous day’s meeting; the supplementary requests were presented once details became available. The actions will replenish expendable trust resources and provide funds for continuing rehabilitation work.
