Planning staff told the commission on March 19 that the Inland Wetlands Commission accepted a wetlands map amendment for 3350 Winstead Road and that a site plan application from AJK LLC is expected in early May.
City planner Jeremy Leifert read an email from assistant planner Nate Nardi Cyrus indicating the wetlands map amendment was accepted after a certified soil scientist’s fall 2024 survey. The email said the consultant and staff found no major wetlands violations requiring restoration. "At the last meeting we were informed by the applicant that the site plan application would be submitted sometime in early spring 2025 which was acceptable to the commission," Leifert read.
Leifert and the commission noted the application will be reviewed under the recently amended regulations for properties with pre-existing uses; the site plan will likely be for material processing and movement on a largely flat site and will be limited to a two-year approval by site plan only. The commission and applicant’s representatives said they expect a formal submission for the May meeting and encouraged applicants to provide materials at least two to three weeks before the packet deadline for department review.
