After receiving feedback from stakeholders, he said the sponsor had refined the language further and proposed the phrase "performing appropriate delegated focused assessments." Healy emphasized the change would not allow LPNs to perform initial assessments, which remain the RN’s responsibility.
Representative Redmond moved to hold House Bill 27 in committee but to introduce and send RS 32133 to the second-reading calendar. The motion to hold HB 27 passed; the committee then voted to introduce and send RS 32133 to second reading with a due-pass recommendation. No public testimony was recorded on the record for either action.
