State Board technical correction for broadband funding approved by committee

Ryber said the last year's budget moved roughly $5 million (net-zero) from the State Department of Education to the State Board of Education to support broadband and related infrastructure in rural schools, and the bill corrects the statutory reference.
Ryber said the change is noncontroversial, that staff in the Department of Finance and Management and Legislative Services Office are aware of it, and called it a simple technical correction. The committee voted to send SB 1091 to the Senate floor with a due-pass recommendation.
