Board approves consent agenda including jail contracts, software and health grants; votes 5-0

The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners approved a consent agenda at its Jan. 23 meeting that included multiple contracts, grant agreements and purchases. The board approved the consent agenda by voice vote, recorded as 5-0 in favor after Commissioner West moved and Commissioner Schrader seconded.

Items listed on the consent agenda included:

After approving the county consent agenda, the board recessed and convened as a Development Agency board to approve a development agency consent agenda item: an amendment to an intergovernmental agreement with Clackamas River Water for reimbursements for the Linwood Avenue improvement project (no fiscal impact; total agreement value $146,610). The development agency consent agenda also passed 5-0 on a motion by Commissioner West, seconded by Commissioner Schrader.

Clerk to the Board Andrew Juraki read the items aloud before the vote; no item was removed from either consent agenda for separate discussion. Several commissioners briefly noted that jail facility upgrades were long overdue and welcomed the maintenance work listed on the consent agenda.
