Neighbors press Beecher officials over cleanup, inspections at 282 Orchard construction site

Residents at the Aug. 25 Village of Beecher board meeting asked officials for updates and enforcement after construction at 282 Orchard left what one speaker called “a war zone” of debris and stacked lumber.

The residents raised concerns about loose rebar, weeds inside the construction perimeter, deliveries of trusses and lumber before foundation approval, and whether the village or the subdivision covenants govern the site’s appearance. “That site looks like a war zone,” a resident said during public comment, adding the village should “have our back” to ensure the site is kept clean.
