Dorchester County Council approves multiple rezonings, zoning text change and new infrastructure spending

Dorchester County Council on Oct. 6 approved three second‑reading rezoning requests, adopted a text amendment to the county land‑development code affecting townhouse lot standards, and approved a series of funding and administrative measures including increased local matches for water projects and an early order for a Type 1 ambulance.

The actions drew limited debate in the chamber and were passed by voice vote or unanimous consent during a meeting that also included public comment on several separate neighborhood issues.
