The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) presented its county consultation and prioritization process to the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners on Oct. 25, listing local projects under study and stressing long-term funding challenges.
NDOT Director Tracy Larkin Thomason told the board that federal regulation requires periodic consultation and that NDOT holds county workshops to gather local needs, then prioritizes projects in the agency’s One Nevada plan based on safety, preservation, mobility, economic viability, sustainability and community connections.
