Council agrees to move meeting start time to 6 p.m.; mayor seeks students for new youth advisory council

Mayor Case also announced that the city is accepting applications for a Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council. The advisory council will include nine students in grades 9–12, meet monthly, and will be selected by a panel of city staff, the mayor, and community volunteers. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. The mayor said the group will return to council with an organizational plan and swearing‑in once members are selected.
Council members expressed support for both items and asked staff to provide follow‑up details as needed.
