Council approves plat recording extension, plat amendment and completes third reading of development-code ordinance; consent calendar passed

The Rexburg City Council took several routine land-use and administrative actions during its Sept. 17 meeting.

- Teton View Estates recording extension: The council approved a standard six-month extension for the applicant to record the Teton View Estates plat with the county clerk, as required under city code. The council motion was made by Council member Colin Erickson and seconded by Council member Johnson. The motion passed on a voice vote.

- Valley View Division No. 6 plat amendment: The council approved a planning recommendation to amend the Valley View Division No. 6 plat on Westside Drive by combining three lots into two (reducing the original eight-lot phase to seven lots). The amendment was requested by the private owner, meets LDR-1 zone standards, and was approved on a motion by Council member Reeser, seconded by Council member Chambers.

- Third reading: Ordinance No. 1337 (amendment to the record for development code ordinance No. 1,200): The council held a third-reading consideration and recorded the third read following a motion by Council member Colin Erickson, seconded by Council member Johnson. The meeting record shows the third read was considered and no opposition was recorded.

- Consent calendar: The council approved the consent calendar, which included minutes from the Sept. 17 meeting and payment of the city's recorded bills, after a motion by Council member Chambers and a second by Council member Reeser.
