Town staff said the resolution extends the public-works agreement for three years; the council took the motion, seconded it and approved the resolution by roll-call vote. At least three members voted in favor during the recorded roll call.
During discussion, a council member observed the developer continues to carry 15 acres under the agreement and that plats and approvals indicate some lots (including a spec building lot and a Taco Bell parcel) have already been developed, consuming roughly five of those acres. The member asked staff to compile the full history and acreage accounting so the council has a complete record of what remains under the agreement when future extensions are considered.
The motion passed on a roll-call vote. Council members asked staff to provide clear documentation of which lots have been developed and how many acres remain under the three-year holding provision before any subsequent extension is considered.
