The Osceola Board of County Commissioners voted to rescind the board’s Oct. 6 appointment of Jacob Dorn to the Housing Finance Authority after the county attorney reported Dorn had not submitted an application for reappointment.
At the meeting the county attorney told commissioners that although the board had appointed Jacob Dorn at its Oct. 6 meeting, Dorn had not applied for the reappointment. The county attorney asked the board to rescind or withdraw the appointment so the matter can be taken up at a later date. A commissioner moved to rescind the appointment; the motion carried unanimously.
No replacement appointment was made that evening. The board recorded the rescission by voice vote and directed that the item be taken up at a future meeting when proper application materials are available.
