At its Oct. 23, 2025 meeting the Carlsbad Senior Commission recorded the following formal actions. All motions passed unanimously by the commissioners present (three commissioners in attendance; Commissioners Fitzpatrick and Ross were absent).
Minutes Motion: “Motion to approve the minutes for the 08/28/2025 meeting.” Outcome: Approved (unanimous of commissioners present).
2026 Commission Calendar Motion: “Motion to approve the 2026 Senior Commission meeting calendar.” Outcome: Approved (unanimous of commissioners present). Staff noted the bimonthly schedule remains in place and that special meetings may be scheduled if needed.
2026 Senior Commission Work Plan Motion: “Accept the 2026 Senior Commission work plan and recommend its approval by City Council.” Outcome: Approved (unanimous of commissioners present). Staff will prepare a transmittal to City Council for adoption.
Notes: The meeting also included presentations and updates from staff on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan implementation, senior-center programs and funding. The commission recorded no votes to table or postpone items.
