Evansville Board of Public Works approves RFP responses, ADA bids, right-of-way permits and event street closures; reviews 2026 paving candidates

The Evansville City Board of Public Works on Oct. 23, 2025, approved a package of routine but substantive items: it placed responses to an information-technology request for proposals under advisement, opened and placed two bids for a 2025 Americans with Disabilities Act curb-ramp project under advisement, approved and denied specified right-of-way permit applications, authorized several event-related street closures and barricade uses, and heard a staff update on candidate streets for the city's 2026 CCMG paving application.

Why it matters: These approvals move procurement and street-improvement work forward, authorize neighborhood events that require temporary street closures, and set the early scope for next year’s roadwork funding request. Several measures included conditions such as adherence to the Indiana Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and city utility-cut repair standards.

The board first approved placing under advisement responses to the information-technology request for proposals, RFP 948012025.
