Board approves routine business, personnel and preliminary tax levy; real-estate sale tabled

The Addison SD 4 Board of Education on Oct. 16 approved several routine business items, personnel appointments and a preliminary tax levy, and tabled an item on the sale of district real estate.
Board members voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the Sept. 17 regular meeting; the districtaccounts payable for October 2025 totaling $2,562,005.59; and payroll for September 2025 totaling $7,331,419.29. The board also approved the personnel report, which included licensed and ESP staff hires and one ESP rehire, and granted leave requests as listed in the board packet.
In separate votes, members approved two job-description changes, a resolution authorizing payment of board-member expenses for the 2025 Joint Annual Conference in Chicago, and the districtlist of authorized depositories and investment managers. The board approved a preliminary estimated tax levy of 4.99% to comply with Truth in Taxation timing; the final levy will be adopted later this year after DuPage County certifies equalized assessed value.
The board did not take action on the proposed sale of Old Mill School property; the item was tabled and no recommendation was made at the meeting.
