The Dawsonville City Council on Oct. 13 approved the final plat for a subdivision identified in the meeting record as Arbor West and noted that internal roads will remain private.
Stacy Harris, the zoning administrative assistant, told the council that the development "meets the land regulations," that department heads and the city engineer had signed off, and that bonds calculations had been met. Harris said staff recommended adding a note under general notes that "the roads would remain private." Council member Sandy Sawyer moved to approve the final plat; Council member Caleb Phillips seconded. The motion carried with all voting members recorded as in favor.
No public input was recorded on the item. The approval completes the council's formal sign-off on the Arbor West plat as presented to the council at the special-call meeting.
The meeting closed without an executive session; the council announced its next regular meeting for Monday, Oct. 20.
