City officials announced that the City of Moline’s 2025 budget document has earned the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fourth consecutive year.
Miss Barnes, presenting to council, said the award recognizes that the city satisfied nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation—covering policy, financial plan, operations guidance and communication—and cited special recognition for the budget’s strategic goals and strategies for a second consecutive year.
Barnes thanked budget staff Courtney Reed (budget manager), Lupe Ramirez (assistant finance director), Andrea Bradley (accounting manager) and Macy McManus for their contributions to the document.
The award is a professional recognition that the finance team said reflects collaboration across city departments and the council.
